A state of the art Keepsake Welding Research & Skill Development Center of Excellence has been established at L D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad as per MoU among:

Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Gujarat State

Keepsake Engineering Pvt. Ltd, Ahmedabad

L D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad

Casting, forming, machining, welding and powder metallurgy are considered to be the chief manufacturing processes. Welding and joining has made its mark as one of the very important manufacturing processes. Teaching welding technology in collaboration with an industry is a step forward in the direction of dealing with the subject in its total perspective including the theoretical and practical aspects to the required depth and width. At institute level, we generally do not have skilled technicians who can demonstrate the technology to the students so that it can lead to a professional international certification. Institute faculty can take care of the theoretical aspects and industry experts can deal with the practical aspects of the subject content.

Courses on offer:

The welding processes covered will be TIG, MIG, PLASMA and MMA.

Certification Courses as per ASME & API would be conducted by Level 3 qualified third party inspectors.
