Ms. Rena N. Shukla, at present working as an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering Department at L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. She has obtained her B.E. (Civil) from Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM), Vallabh Vidyanagar in 1994. M.E.(Civil-Transportation Engineering)from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad in 2005. She has 22 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels in various Engineering Colleges of Gujarat State and 3 years of field experience. She has started her academic career from C. U. Shah College of Engineering and Technology, Wadhwan city in 1997. By clearing GPSC she had joined L D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad in 1999. She has also worked with Government Engineering College, Surat from 2008 to 2015. She is enormously associated with teaching in the area of transportation engineering, and involved in testing and consultancy of highway projects. She was Nodal officer for Vishwakarma yojna at L.D.C.E,A’bad, a prestigious programme of GTU for Phase III,IV and VI. Under her guidance project report is selected as Best Project Report (first winner among declared 3 best projects from 143 village reports)for Phase VI for Vishwakarma Yojna by GTU on 31st August 2019. She has guided more than 22 dissertation students in PG (M.E.Transportation Engg.). She has guided more than 25 User Defined Projects (IDP/UDP) in Final Year of B.E.(Civil). She has published one book for the first year students: Elements of Civil Engineering (ECE). She has published Total 53 papers in National and International journals and conferences. She had delivered more than 20 expert lectures. At training programmes for faculty programme(FDP) and Short Term Training Programme(STTP). About PMGSY(Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna and Road safety at R & B Staff training college,Gandhinagar for DE/AAE. She had delivered special video lectures for the subject ECE at BISAG, Gandhinagar for CD preparation for all degree engineering colleges of Gujarat state. She has won Best Presentation Award at 2nd International Conference RUCTD at Bali,Indonesia organized by ISTE in 2018. She has won Best Paper Award at National Conference NHCE in theme “Urban Planning” and “Traffic & Transportation Engineering” in 2017 at SCET,Surat. She has presented a paper in International Conference: ICRISET-2017 at BVM,V.V.Nagar, which was selected as Kalpa publication in journal.
After completion of probation period as a lecturer in civil engineering at L.D.College of Engineering, Ms.Rena has joined M.E.(Civil-Transportation Engineering)in split semester system under Gujarat University at L.D.College of Engineering ,Ahmedabad with permission of DTE,Gujarat State. She has done her study along with job at same institute and secured first class with distinction (86%).She has done her dissertation on the topic : Economic Evaluation of Transportation Project:A Case study of Sardar Patel Ring Road,Ahmedabad.
Ms.Rena has taken her school education in Gujarati Medium School in Nadiad,District:Kheda in Gujarat State upto 12th (Science stream) standard .She has completd her B.E.from BVM Engineering college at Vallabh Vidhyanagar. She was in first credit system batch of the institute from 1990 to1994.she has earned the degre with first class from Sardar Patel University,V.V.Nagar.
