The residential experience at the hostel of L. D. College of Engineering (LDCE) is a memorable and enriching chapter in the lives of its students. Nestled within a lush green campus in the heart of the city, the hostel offers a serene yet vibrant environment that supports both academic pursuits and personal growth. Whether students are engaged in organizing cultural events or preparing for examinations, the hostel life contributes significantly to their holistic development.
At LDCE hostel, students find a second home where they are supported by dedicated rectors and wardens assigned to each block. Their tireless efforts ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment. Civil and electrical maintenance within the hostel campus is managed and supported by the Public Works Department (PWD), ensuring that infrastructure and amenities remain in optimal condition.
Students are accommodated in twin or triple-sharing rooms, allowing them to form strong bonds and learn to appreciate the diversity of their peers. They are encouraged to adjust to each other's individuality and to foster a respectful and cooperative living atmosphere. In addition, students are guided in maintaining the cleanliness of their dormitories and organizing their personal belongings in an orderly manner, thus promoting discipline and hygiene.
The hostel fosters a warm and welcoming environment that encourages students to interact freely, extend mutual support, and develop lifelong friendships. This sense of community and camaraderie is a hallmark of the LDCE hostel experience.
The hostel building is located within the main campus and currently accommodates around 800 students, including 144 female students. The location provides easy access to academic facilities while maintaining a peaceful and secure residential atmosphere.
Each hostel room is furnished with basic necessities such as beds, tables, chairs, and cupboards. Additional facilities are provided in accordance with government provisions and decisions. The hostel campus houses four student-managed messes, with oversight from hostel authorities to ensure the quality and hygiene of the food served.
To support intellectual and recreational needs, the hostel subscribes to various newspapers and magazines. A common room equipped with a television is available for entertainment and relaxation. Furthermore, students have access to both indoor and outdoor sports facilities within the college campus, contributing to their physical well-being and overall development.
