Team Robocon LDCE stood 2nd runners-up in ROBOMINTON

Team Robocon LDCE stood 2nd runners-up among top 84 colleges of India in the Robocon National Contest 2015-ROBOMINTON held from 5-7 March at Balewadi Stadium, Pune. Robocon is an international level robotics competition participated by engineering students across the world. Robocon is an international level robot competition held for engineering students from across the world, started in the year 2002. In this competition, robots compete to complete a task within a set period of time. The contest aims to create friendship among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century as well as help for the advancement of engineering and broadcasting technologies in various region. The Competition is based on a theme and hence the tasks given for preparing the robots depicts the influence of that decided theme by the host country. The teams all over the world willing to take part in the competition has to prepare their machines which does these and completes them in the pre-decided time.

Hemen Ashodia, Tarun Mangukiya & Arpan Rank, students of BE Computer Engineering won the "Innovative Students’ Co-Creation Awards for Leadership and Excellence (i-SCALE)" for their excellent work on "Remarkin - Learn to Code" on Sankul Day by GTU. Award, titled Students’ Co-Creation Awards for Leadership and Excellence (i-SCALE) has been established to scout, recognize and award student-led initiatives in the fields of innovation, technology development, pedagogy, leadership, entrepreneurship and similar other endeavors. Each year GTU organizes the "Sankul Day" on 14th Feb for appreciating significant contributions of various stakeholders.
