Plastic Technology department arranged Global Alumni Convention (GAC-2024) meet.
Plastic Technology Department organized Orientation of BIS club and Standard writing competition of Bureau of Indian Standard Club on 21st December 2023 coordinated by Prof. Hetal Shah. Students of 5th and 3rd Semester participated in the event. Expert talk was given by Mr. Abhishek (Asst. Director) from BIS-Ahmedabad. He, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the pivotal role of standards in ensuring the quality and safety of the products in their respective fields. The orientation session provided an overview of the club’s activities, its mission, and the benefits of the active participation. Following the orientation, the spotlight shifted to the much anticipated Standard writing competition. Students of SEM 3 and 5 showcased their knowledge, creativity and understanding of industry standards while writing standards. Four distinguished ranks were awarded to the outstanding student’s team. The winners were presented the cash prizes as a token of appreciation. Certificates were given to the all students who attended the event. Students of Sem 3rd and 5th won total cash prize of Rs 2500/- in the BIS Standard writing competition.
Under the New India Vibrant Hackathon 2023, Prof Stuti Shah, was a Jury from L.D.College of Engineering for the Regional rounds of Vibrant Hackathon on 4/11/2023 held at L. D. College of Engineering.
Prof. Bharti G. Basantani, participated in Panel Discussion organized by IPI as an academic invitee during the seminar on “Additive Manufacturing: Powerful toolkit for Design to Production”. It was held at Double Tree by Hilton, Ahmedabad on 27-10-2023, sponsored by HP INDIA.
Expert Lecture by Shri Sawmyaji,a guide from O & O Academy (EKAM) was delivered on the topic "Stress Release". She delivered the lecture to guide the students to overcome stressful states and be champions in their chosen field and awaken intelligence.
Plastic , Rubber and Chemical department arranged Blood donation camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross society- Ahmedabad.
Plastic Technology department arranged an Industrial visit at Dutron Industries, Kheda for the students of 3rd & 5th semester. Prof. Stuti Shah and Prof. Hetal Shah along with IPI member accompanying the students.
As part of the Engineer's Day Celebration, Plastic Technology Department organized “Sahyog 2023”- an Industry-Academia Meet on September 16th, 2023, 3 to 5 pm. Alumni from industries like Milacron India, Prutha Packaging, TCS, Bhavi Automation Solutions and Engg Tech participated in the event and gave their valuable suggestions regarding curriculum, training, Department laboratory, visits, placement etc.

Plastic Technology department arranged an expert lecture by Shri. Nitin Pandya from Prasad Group on "Basics of Pheumatic conveying systems & Its applications in Plastic Processing" as a part of MOU.
