Prof. Kintu Jain and Prof. Stuti Shah as Route Supervisor’s, attended the “Namaste Trump” event held at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera on the 24-02-2020.
Plastic Technology department participated at “Plastivision 2020” exhibition held at Mumbai from 16th to 20th January 2020.
Tree Plantation Activity was carried out by the staff and students on the 8 th of August 2019.
An expert lecture on “Co Rotating Twin Screw Extruder" by Dr.Pradeep Bakshi, Consultant- Plastics Technology was arranged in the department on 3 rd August 2019.
Students of Final Year got placement in industries like Amul Dairy, J.J Plast Alloy Pvt, Ltd, Miku Traders, Netafim Industries, Byju's ,etc.
Kaizen 2018, which is an event specially organized for the final year students project display and farewell, was a grand success. Total 8 teams comprising of 33 students displayed their projects and three best projects were rewarded.
- Expert lecture by Dr. Mamta Saiyed on topic “Start up and Innovation in Plastic Industry” was arranged in the department under SSIP on date 27th March 2018.
-Group of Students of the final year (8th Semester) Plastic Technology Department presented their Students Start up work on “Polymer Composite Railway Sleepers” under the guidance of Prof & Head of Department Ms. Bharati G Basantani . Their work got selected under the SSIP and they got a grant worth Rs 15000/- for Proof of concept
- Industrial visit to Amul Dairy and Amul Packaging Unit, Gandhinagar was arranged for the students of 6th semester and 8th semester on 26th and 27th of February respectively. Approximately 70 students attended the same.
About 100 students of Plastic Technology Department along with faculties participated in International Conference and Exhibition at PLASTINDIA 2018 from Feb 7-12.
