Head of Plastic Technology department, Prof. Bharati Basantani had a meeting with Mr. Nitin Pandya of Prasad Engineering Pvt. Ltd. Discussion regarding regular expert lectures, industrial visits, internships and placement was done.
An expert lecture was organized by the Plastic Technology Department along with Indian Plastic Institute Ahmedabad Student's Chapter titled: “RADIATION HARDENED POLYMER COMPOSITES”. The Speaker for the event was Ms. Mamta Saiyad, Associate Professor, Nirma University.
Shubham Extrusion visited the Department on 11th May 2023 for placement of final year students. A company video which was shown which was followed by pre placement talk and written test. Six students were shortlisted and called for interviews and out of these students Aakash Singh Patel was selected as a graduate Engineer Trainee
Plastic Technology Department arranged Kaizen 2023 in the department on 9th May 2023. Shri. Harshit Shah, Director-Gemini Polyplast was the judge for the event. Students presented their internship work during the 8th semester to the judge and best three presentations were awarded prizes.
Prof. Hetal Shah along with the students of 4th Semester attended the Gujarat Pitchathon arranged on 29th April 2023 at i-Hub Gujarat, KCG. The program was organized to nurture the investment ecosystem for startups in Gujarat.
