Dr. Ashish D. Baldania is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. With over 16 years of academic, research, and administrative experience, he has been actively contributing to the fields of Chemical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Pollution, Waste Management, Carbon Neutral Technologies, and Sustainable Development. Dr. Baldania holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from R.K. University, Rajkot, Gujarat. He has completed his Master’s from DDIT, Nadiad, and Bachelor's from G.H. Patel College, S.P. University, Vallabh Vidyanagar. At present, he is pursuing his Post-Doctoral Fellowship under the International Innovation Programme (IIP - PDF) from Eudoxia Research University, USA & Eudoxia Research Center, India. His academic and research portfolio includes: 6 published research papers in reputed journals, 3 conference papers, 3 authored books (Renewable Energy, Waste to Wealth, and Zeolite Chemistry & Engineering: Catalysts and Adsorbents Guide), 1 book chapter, 2 patents. He serves as a reviewer for 15 national and international journals (including Scopus, Web of Science indexed journals) and is on the editorial board of 10 journals. His academic excellence has been recognized through multiple national and international awards such as: Best Faculty Award, C.V. Raman Prize Award, Research Excellence Award, Global Education Award (Top 10 Professors), Kalam Research Award, Royal Golden Award, and many others. Dr. Baldania has delivered several invited lectures, keynote speeches, and panel discussions at prestigious international conferences such as INFES 6.0, INFES 7.0, ICNMR 2.0, IRTEC 3.0, and NextGen Tech 2024, covering topics like sustainable semiconductor manufacturing, AI in SDG development, and carbon capture technologies. He has rich administrative experience, having served as: NCC Caretaker Officer, Training & Placement Officer, Job Fair Coordinator, Industry-Institute Interaction Cell Member, IICHE Student Chapter Coordinator, NSS Programme Officer, Jury for Hackathons. He is a life member of multiple professional bodies including IIChE, ISTE, IEI, SESI, RESI, IAENG, IEEE, ISA, ISCA, IFERP, InSc, and other international academic associations. His continued learning attitude is reflected through his participation in more than 60 training programs, FDPs, workshops, webinars, and national/international level seminars on advanced topics related to Engineering, Pedagogy, Climate Change, Renewable Energy, Academic Governance, and NBA Accreditation. Dr. Baldania remains deeply committed to academic excellence, innovation, and student development, blending theoretical knowledge with industrial relevance and research-based learning.
