Residential experience at hostel of L D College of Engineering is memorable for the students as it is in the beautiful lush green campus in the heart of the city. Whether it is planning for cultural events or exam preparation, the learning experiences adds value to the holistic development of the students. At LDCE hostel, students find a second home, as they can have the assistance of a rector and warden in each block whose untiring efforts ensure that the students’ stay at the hostel is good, and all their needs are met promptly. All civil works and electrical works are created, supported and maintained by PWD at hostel campus.

At LDCE hostel, students are accommodated in a twin / triple sharing rooms. Students are helped to adjust with fellow students and to the individuality that all students bring with them. Apart from this, students are trained in the orderly arrangement of their personal belongings in the dormitories, and the maintenance of proper hygiene and cleanliness.

A warm and affable environment in the hostel ensures that students interact among themselves freely, learn to extend mutual support when required, and develop close friendly relations.

Hostel building at LDCE is located inside the campus. It provides accommodation to around 800 students, including 144 girl students.

Hostel Administration:


The hostel is administered by the rector and wardens appointed for each block by Commissionerate of Technical Education (CTE), Gandhinagar. Admissions are given to students who are residing at least 30 kms away from the hostel based on ACPC merit.

Facilities:

    • Each hostel room is provided with beds, tables, chairs & cupboards. Other facilities shall be provided as and when government deems fit.
    • There are four mess in the hostel campus, which are managed by students themselves. Hostel authority ensures quality of food being served in the mess.
    • Many newspapers and magazines are subscribed by the hostel.
    • The hostel has one common room where students can watch TV.
    • Students can enjoy outdoor and indoor games in the college campus.
  • Fees is same for boys and girls.
  • Hostel fees is non-refundable.
  • Fees mentioned here does not included meal charges.

  • The institute provides accommodation to boys and girls students pursuing undergraduate course and boys pursuing postgraduate course. The details of rooms and seats are given below:

  • Preferences are given to UG students for admission in Girls Hostel.
  • As per AICTE notification, students who have secured admission in college should submit an affidavit to college office as per given format regarding anti-ragging.
  • The hostel authorities reserve the right of admission to the hostel. Students, once admitted must be prepared to accept the rooms allotted to them (request for room change will not be entertained in any case). They must abide by all the rules prescribed from time to time.
  • No hostel student is authorised to invite any outsider in the hostel without prior permission from the hostel authorities and paying the guest charge as per the norms.
  • The visiting hours are between 09:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
  • In the hostel premises, students must avoid all activities which may cause any disturbance to their companions.
  • Use of electrical appliances (such as burner, heater, stove, induction plate, cooler, AC etc.) is strictly prohibited. A penalty of Rs – 500/- shall be charged to defaulters.
  • In each room a main tube light is provided & those who wish to sleep should not be disturbed, this light must be put off by 12 Midnight except during the exam days.
  • It is expected that students should keep their allotted room clean.
  • In the hostel premises, students must avoid all activities which may cause any disturbance to their companions.
  • The hostel will remain close during Diwali Vacation.
  • Above mentioned rules may be amended from time to time as per the instructions of authorities.
  • It is advised that while using the bathroom, don't throw the plastic pouch of shampoo or toothpaste or any other such things in the wash basin or bathroom. It will create chowk up of water in the bathroom.
  • It is advised that use the dustbin of ground floor for the waste plastic containers / poly bags of food.
  • Strictly avoid to throw garbage in the open area.
  • The first term of the hostel shall be parallel with academic term.
  • The second term of the hostel shall also be parallel with the second academic term.
  • The Hostel is exclusively for boy students of L D College of Engineering.
  • The student must bring Mark Sheet, Photo & other necessary details when they come for admission.
  • It is expected that the hostel students have local guardians who may be contacted in case of Emergency.
  • Admission is not granted to the hostel for detained students.
  • In case of misbehaviour, the student will be expelled immediately.
  • Student who leaves the hostel without informing the hostel authorities, will be expelled from the hostel.
  • While leaving the hostel, student will have to make sure that all the electrical appliances (fans and tubes) as well as the switches and points must be in working condition. Along with that all the furniture items must also be without any damage. Otherwise appropriate fine will be imposed on the student responsible.
  • It is necessary to take care of their belongings while leaving and not to leave at room. In this case the hostel office is not responsible for any loss of students luggage.
  • While leaving the hostel, the room key shall be submitted to the hostel office only.
  • Block G is exclusively for girl students of L D College of Engineering.
  • The student must bring Mark Sheet, Photo & other necessary details when they come for admission.
  • It is expected that the hostel students have local guardians who may be contacted in case of Emergency.

  • All hostel students are expected to be in their rooms by 8:00 PM and on Sunday by 9:30 PM. No student will be permitted to spend a night outside. In case of late entry they have to pay a fine of Rs.500/-. Hostel admission of those students will be cancelled who violate this rule twice. Visitors: The visiting hours are between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday & working Saturday (1st & 3rd Saturday of Month). Visitors must not be taken to the student’s room.
  • Student who leaves the hostel without informing the hostel authorities, will be expelled from the hostel.
  • While leaving the hostel, student will have to make sure that all the electrical appliances (fans and tubes) as well as the switches and points must be in working condition.
