The ISHRAE LDCE Student Chapter is a vibrant technical society at L.D. College of Engineering dedicated to advancing student knowledge, professional exposure, and innovation in the field of HVAC&R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration). The chapter serves as a bridge between academia and industry, providing students with opportunities to engage in real-world technical activities, industry networking, and leadership development.
The student chapter was officially revived in April 2025 following all ISHRAE norms and procedures, marking a fresh beginning for a new era of student-driven initiatives. With official installation and recognition, the chapter once again became an active platform for LDCE students to learn, collaborate, and showcase their technical capabilities under the banner of ISHRAE.
The chapter is guided and mentored by Prof. Kamlesh Pansal, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, who provides constant support and direction to ensure the growth and success of all chapter activities.
During the academic year 2025–26 and ongoing, the chapter has been actively involved in:
Expert Talks & Webinars — Inviting industry professionals and ISHRAE members to deliver sessions on HVAC technologies, sustainability, and career opportunities.
Workshops & Hands-On Training — Conducting practical workshops on refrigeration cycles, duct design, and energy-efficient systems to build real-time engineering skills.
Competitions & Student Engagement — Organizing technical quizzes, design contests, and encouraging participation in national ISHRAE events like ACREX and Student Quiz (ISHRAE QUEST).
Industry Connect & Visits — Collaborations with HVAC companies and industrial visits to expose students to the latest technologies and working practices.
Awareness & Green Initiatives — Promoting energy conservation, climate awareness, and sustainable technologies through campaigns and student-led drives.
