An expert lecture by Mr. Chirag Patel, Assistant General Manager at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Gold Medalist – Chemical Engineering, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP Certified) was arranged in Chemical Engineering Department for the BE final year and ME students on 26th September, 2025. The lecture was organised by Dr. Milap Nayak and Dr. A. D. Baldaniya and coordinated by Dr. R. R. Patel and Dr. T. S. Rajaraman. Mr. Patel provided valuable insights into the diverse and evolving role of chemical engineers in the pharmaceutical sector. Drawing from his 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development, Mr. Patel highlighted the critical interface between chemical engineering principles and drug manufacturing.

Our 5th & 7th semester students visited Rubber King Tyre Pvt Ltd on Sept 6, 2025 for an industrial tour. This hands-on visit gave them a chance to see how tyres are manufactured, understand quality checks, and learn how efficiency is maintained at scale. With the support of Mr. Devin Gawarvala and seamless coordination by Mr.Pankaj Bagora, it turned into an inspiring experience for our future engineers!
Plastic Technology Department organized an Industrial visit for the students of 3rd semester to Nyara Houseware on 4th September 2025. Faculties of the department, Prof Kintu Jain and Prof. Stuti Shah accompanied the students. The students obtained practical exposure to the industrial-scale manufacturing technique used to produce durable and high-quality dinnerware. It was an enlightening experience that bridged theoretical knowledge of manufacturing processes with real-world application. The visit successfully met its objective of offering practical exposure to industrial operations, quality control measures, and the importance of process efficiency in a manufacturing setting.
IIChE Student Chapter Chemical Engineering Department – LDCE organised a “Computational Approaches workshop for Engineering” for chemical engineering students of LDCE during 3rd and 4th September 2025. This workshop was organized focusing on the use of modern computational tools (four computational tools viz: DWSIM, MATLAB, Excel and Python) widely applied in engineering chemical and allied fields. Dr. Ronak Patel, Dr. T. S. Rajaraman, Prof. Piyush Patel, Prof. Pratik Patel and Prof. Nikita Ambegaonkar delivered lectures and hands on sessions.
47 Students and Prof. Ghanshyam Shah, E.C. Engineering Department, LDCE participated in the C G Semi plant inaugural function at Sanand, inaugurated by Hon. CM Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel and Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji. It was indeed a proud moment to witness this milestone for the semiconductor industry. This visit was as a part of industry-institute interaction. We are thankful to Mr. Siddharth Jain, Global Head - Talent Acquisition Human Resources Team, CG Semi for providing this opportunity.
