I am currently working as an Assistant Professor, Applied Mechanics Department, L.D.College of Engineering, Ahmedabad affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (2006) from L.E.College, Morbi affiliated to Saurashtra University. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (2008) from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad affiliated to Gujarat University. Currently I am Pursuing PhD (Earthquake Engineering) from Marwadi University, Rajkot. I have qualified competitive exams like GATE-(2006 & 2009) GPSC Assistant Engineer (Class-II, R & B Department), GPSC Assistant Professor (Class-II), Gujarat Engineering Services (Dy. Executive Engineer, R & B Department). Before joining LDCE, I was working as an Assistant Engineer (Design Circle), Road & Building Department, Gandhinagar as a Bridge Design Engineer. During this stint, I had designed various minor and major bridges. My major area of research interest are Seismic Behaviour of Vernacular Structures, Seismic Performance of Earth Rammed Structures and Structural Design of Bridges. Subjects which I teach at UG level are: Structural Analysis, Elementary Design of Structures, Computational Mechanics, Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Design of Steel Structures. Subjects which I teach at PG level are: Advanced Design of Concrete Structures, Design of Bridges, Structural Design Project During my academic career till date, I have guided 17 PG students in their Dissertation work. I have written 22 Research Papers in National & International Journals and 2 Papers in Conferences. I have also written two books, namely; Structural Analysis - I (ISBN 978-93-80867-78-6) & Interview Guidance Book for Civil Engineering (ISBN:978-93-54083-18-1). I have applied for a Research Project under the "Scheme For Supporting R&D In Emerging Fields of S&T on State Priority Areas Under STI Fund (GujCOST)", Budget (INR 50,00,000) I have also applied for a Research Project under "Research Promotion under Technical Education (Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat)" Budget (INR 2,00,000). Under my mentorship students secured 3rd position in “National Award Competition for Civil/Structural Engineering Students” in the year 2017-18 & 2018-19 organized by Institute of Steel Development & Growth (INSDAG), Kolkata. One team was shortlisted for finale round in Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon 2019-2020 out of 2643 teams (finale round is postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic). I am actively involved in the consultancy, proof checking & material testing works (IRG works) taken up by the department in college. I was involved in the projects of esteemed Government organizations like NHSRCL, MES, ONGC, IOCL, CPWD, R&B, NWRWS&K, PIU, Gujarat Tourism, AAI, GSRTC and many more semi Government and Private organizations. I have dealt (proof checked) with Public Buildings, Institutional Structures, Elevated & UG water tanks, Sump & Pump House Projects, Airport Structures, High Masts, and Steel Structures etc. Additionally, I am also appointed as a Security In-Charge at LDCE, Sports Coordinator (Cricket), P.G. Course Coordinator (Structural Engineering), Departmental Coordinator (IEI - Student Chapter).
