Dr. Shital Amin

A experienced university faculty member with over 20 years of experience mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in Chemical Engineering at institutions affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, under the Department of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat. Completed a PhD in Discipline of Chemical Engineering of IIT Gandhinagar under the supervision of Dr. Nitin Padhiyar and Dr. Pratyush Dayal. Currently serving as an Independent Woman Director at Sabarmati Gas Ltd., a joint venture between GSPC and BPCL. Key achievements and contributions include: Strengthening industry-institute relationships to enhance students’ practical exposure and career readiness. Member of the Schedule-1 Auditor Team for the Government of Gujarat, dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability. Recipient of the First Prize in the ISTE-IPCL National Award for Best M.Tech Thesis in Chemical Engineering (2003). Awarded the IOCL Postgraduate Fellowship for the academic year 2002–2003. Ranked 1st in the Gujarat Public Service Commission recruitment for Lecturer in Chemical Engineering. Areas of specialization include: Resin Synthesis, Polymerization Kinetics, and Multi-objective Optimization.
