An expert lecture was delivered by Mr Bharat Jain on the topic of "Challenges and Opportunities in the field of Engineering in UK and USA". The lecture was arranged for all the students of the department. In his lecture, Mr Jain talked about various challenges faced in UK and USA, as an engineering field. Mr Jain compared the engineering aspects in various countries as job opportunity. In detail, he explained the current scenario of technical field in India, US and UK and enlightened the opportunities. He discussed about the various opportunities as well. He also focused on converting problems into opportunities. He advised students, how they can deal with challenges using their skills and make use of the challenges as new opportunities for learning and sustaining the environment. He also explained the variations of rules in UK and USA. He also talked about the skills and experience that can benefit the students.

As a part of the Pedagogical series, an expert talk was arranged on following topics on 18th Nov’2017. - (i) Causes of cracks and its repair techniques for Masonry Structures. This lecture was delivered by Er.Vijay Shah, CEO of M/s Bhoomi Consultants. The purpose of the lecture was to help the students get conversant with the various factors that cause distress in masonry structures and the techniques that can help correct the distress. - (ii)Report Writing & Presentation Skills” – This lecture was delivered by Mr.Anand Mohan Pandey, who is the Project Manager in the Advisory Vertical of Mott MacDonald India Ltd. The main aim of the this lecture was to inculcate the practice of articulating the thoughts into their report and some handy tips were given to the students using which they can make their presentation more appealing and reader friendly.
