BACHHPAN Final Report
An industrial visit was organized for Vth semester students at Deverson Industries Pvt. Ltd., GIDC - Odhav, hmedabad, Gujarat on 11th July 2019. The industry is a manufacturer of various types of dyes and dyes intermediates which is used in textile and other industries. Around 30 students were exposed to the assortment of dyes with different chemistries to suit highly evolved applications. The unit had various types of reactors and other equipments like filter press, spray drier, rotary drier, furnace, ice plant etc. They have installed a RO system for tertiary treatment of their effluent whose operation was explained in detail. Overall, the industry benefited the students providing them practical exposure in the field of dyes manufacturing. Prof. S. M. Dutta and Prof. R. P. Bhatt along with Harsh Panchal of M.E. final year coordinated the visit.
Yoga Day was celebrated in the department . Faculties as well as students showed active participation.

• Brainstorming session was arranged on 29.6.19 for the faculty and students wherein different Industrial Stalwarts were invited to have an interactive session with the students. The purpose of the session was to make the students and faculty aware of all the latest topics worth pursuing for M.E dissertation. The experts from the Geotechnical engineering who graced the session included: Shri Prakashbhai & Darshan Chhatbar (Sr. Manager & Quality Er) Annandjiwala Consultants), Prof.R.M. Patel & Parth Shah (Sr. Consultant & Manager, M.K. Soil Lab), Shri Mahendra Bhavsar (Sr. General Manager, Sai Systra ltd), Shri Arun Dave (CEO, Geotech Soil Testing Lab). The experts from the Structural Engineering field included: Shri C.H.Shah (Water tank design expert), Shri Vijayan Pandya ( Ultratech), Shri Bimal Acharaya ( Ultratech), Shri Rakesh Shah, Shri Mehul Shah, Shri Vatsal Shukla ( Anviksha Consultants), Shri Devang Patel ( SID Consultants), Shri Mehboob Zindani ( Ducon Consultants) & Shri Vijay Shah.
Our dept. Students team Sem.VI stood first at Grand Finale of Gujarat Industrial Hackathon (GIH) 2019 in small industry problems category. They received Rs. 50000/- prize from Honourable Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama. They were Awarded by co-founder of INFOSYS Dr. Krisgopalkrishnan, Honourable Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Chairman of AICTE. Problem name is "Auto Recloser ELCB".
