In this era, engineers around the globe are trying to improve the performance and efficiency of many electro-mechanical systems. The performance and efficiency of the system can be improve by using automation using micro controllers which interfaces with its peripherals (sensors) and performed its function accurately. In order to understand the basic concept of automation, on 8/3/2022, our department has organized one-day workshop on “ A,B,C,D, about Arduino” under the aegis of IEI Students’ chapter, Department of Electrical engineering, L.D.C.E., Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

5-Days (One Week) Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS) Sponsored Online Short Term Training Program (STTP) on “Application of Optimization, Soft Computing, Modeling with GIS in Engineering and Technology” dated 7th to 11th March, 2022 Organized BY Prof.U.P.Nigam, Prof.A.M.Mirza, Prof.S.S.Dixit, Prof.J.S.Kamble. prime objective was to provide a common platform to all engineering researchers, post graduates, academicians, and field engineers to learn basics and detailed knowledge of optimization, Computing Techniques, Modeling & GIS to resolve engineering problems.
Mr Kaushik Solanki, Technical Sales Manager, Mazda Ltd. delivered a lecture on “Industrial Wastewater Treatment” on 5th March 2022. Around 30 students of BE 4th semester and ME 4th semester students were present in the session. Overall coordination was done by Dr S. M. Dutta and Prof. T. S. Rajaraman.
Owing to inclusion of many private players in the field of power generation, Power trading is now carried out by most of them on Intraday Trading basis. It is “State of Art” concept for Indian power sector also. However, it is profusely exercised in Netherlands. They are doing intraday trading by using different algorithms, load forecasting techniques and weather forecasting. In order to spread awareness about “ Electricity Markets and Trading” IEI students’ chapter, Department of Electrical Engineering of L. D. College of Engineering organized an online expert session from Field expert for undergraduate students on March 4th, 2022. 84 nos. of students of under graduate studies and few faculty members have participated actively in this webinar.
Our student Monit Pal, who won 2nd prize for Best Actor. Monit who won best actor award is brilliant in study as well. Four teams qualified from West zone, he is leading one team in prestigious National level structural engineering competition also
Prof. Hiral Pandya published a research paper titled "Pongamia pinnata biodiesel production using cobalt doped ZnO nanoparticles—An analytical study" in the journal "Environmental Progress & Sustainable Energy, Wiley".
