On the occasion of the World Standards Day, an expert session on topic “Refreshing Fundamentals of IS 456:2000” was arranged on 14.10.24. The expert talk was delivered by eminent Structural Engineer and Consultant Mr.Bhavin Shah ( Founder and CEO, SQVe consultants). The lecture was attended by students of B.E. Sem V and M.E. (Structure and Geotech). The session was coordinated by Prof.A.G.Hansora and Prof.A.J.Shah under the guideship of Major Dr.C.S.Sanghvi.
Final year Electrical Engineering students' team has been shortlisted for Ideation proposal (in Maze Solving Robot category) from Level I to Level II (Proof of Concept) in ROBOFEST GUJARAT 4.0 program, India’s biggest Robotics Competition for ROBOFEST4.0. They had participated in the DD National ROBOCON and secured a place among the top 12 in India. The team consisting of Bhatti Mahammadsamir, Maharshi Sanjaykumar Patel, Heta Rajyaguru, and Hiteshree Pindoria with constant guidance from mentor Professor Mihir Vasavda sir achieved this feat. They won Rs. 2 lakh prize money from GUJCOST
Dr K.B. Kela from the Electrical Engineering Department has made a significant contribution to the book "Reliability Analysis of Modern Power Systems," published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in association with IEEE Press. His research published in the form of 2 Chapters 13 and 14, is titled "Reliability Enhancement of Electrical Distribution Systems Considering Active Distributed Generations" and "Reliability Enhancement Strategy for Electrical Distribution Systems Considering Reward and Penalty," respectively. This book is set to be indexed in Scopus and WoS databases. Dr K.B. Kela also wrote a research article on the topic "Power Supply Accuracy".

As part of the Digital Fabrication Workshop for around 50 students of first-year Electrical Engineering students, hands-on electrical wiring and basic soldering training during regular laboratory sessions were conducted to provide foundational practical skills. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The laboratory sessions were conducted in the department’s well-equipped laboratory supported by Bosch India Pvt. Ltd. The sessions covered essential topics such as the identification and use of wiring tools, understanding wire gauges, circuit connections, and safety protocols. Faculty members-Prof. M.G. Patel, Dr. Z.B. Parekh and Prof. V.M. Dholakiya provided close supervision, ensuring adherence to safety norms and offering real-time guidance.
