KAIZEN 2K18 ,a memorable event of the year 2018 to mark the continuous improvement of Project Work leading to tangible outcome by the final year students was launched by L. D. College of Engineering in 2016 . Since 2016 onwards, every year all the projects of final year U.G., P.G., and P.D.D.C. are showcased and adjudged by the renowned experts from the industries academicia and R&D organizations. This unique event boosts up the skills,
confidence and their innovative approach in taking up challenges providing ample opportunity to win prizes.
This is the final brochure for the STTP titled "Innovation and Advancement in conventional industrial welding practices" starting from 28th May 2018 for two weeks.
Team of 5 Students from Computer Engineering department won 2nd Prize in the Smart India Hackathon and winning prize of 75000 INR. Another team of 8 Students from Computer Engineering Department won 2nd prize in State Level Hackathon 2018 and winning prize of 30000 INR.
- Expert lecture by Dr. Mamta Saiyed on topic “Start up and Innovation in Plastic Industry” was arranged in the department under SSIP on date 27th March 2018
With the end of first chapter of the book of ‘TARANG’: The Space and Science Fest, the quest to reach the summit took its halt with the endless memories and benchmarks set up. With the participation of almost 2000 students and 5000 visitors, this fest earned its worth for the unique events or Sky Gazing, GSSO simulation, 7 unique kinds of workshops and many more exciting events. Around 40 schools and more than 50 colleges participated in the two days fest “TARANG-Space and Science Fest 2018” during 23-24th March, 2018. There were around 200 school students and 35 campus ambassadors. The inaugural ceremony was enlightened by the invited chief guest, Dr.BhushitVaishnav, Dean of Academic Services, PRL and Guest of honour, Dr. KamlendraSarbhai,Dy.Director General (E), Doordarshan Kendra, Ahmedabad
The department of CIVIL Engineering in Association with IWWA celebrated WORLD WATER DAY in presence of Honorable Dr.Jaynarayn Vyas.
-Group of Students of the final year (8th Semester) Plastic Technology Department presented their Students Start up work on “Polymer Composite Railway Sleepers” under the guidance of Prof & Head of Department Ms. Bharati G Basantani . Their work got selected under the SSIP and they got a grant worth Rs 15000/- for Proof of concept
