College of Engineering Ahmedabad is organizing a *One-week AICTE's Training and Learning (ATAL)* Faculty Development Program (FDP) on *“Ocean and Coastal Engineering”* scheduled from *12th February to 17th February 2024*, sponsored by AICTE and approved by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Education Department, Government of Gujarat, India. Eminent experts from IITs, NIT, NIOT, and Kasetsart University, Thailand will lead the training sessions.

A Faculty Training Program (FDP) on “Computational Approaches for Engineering” was organized by Chemical Engineering Department, L. D. College Of Engineering, Ahmedabad during 5th – 9th February, 2024 in collaboration with NITTTR Gujarat Extension Center, Ahmedabad. Patel delivered outstanding efforts, resulting in the registration of a patent on January 30, 2024, for an invention titled “Planetary Geared Brushless DC Motor (BLDC) Powered Ceiling Fan.” Have you ever considered a simple upgrade to your lifestyle or interiors that can increase efficiency, use less power, and reduce electricity bills? Or simply experience less disturbance while you’re fast asleep under a fan? In the simplest terms, that is what the benefits of the patent were about. They also brilliantly registered another patent for an invention entitled “Indirectly Heated Powder Filled Cathode for Electric Gun”. It is a device to produce a narrow stream of electrons from a heated cathode.
