Bioelastomer Award This award is to honor significant contributions to the advancement of biomaterials in the field of rubber science and technology. It was established in 2018 by Rubber Division, ACS as a part of its effort to recognize the contributions of scientists in the field of biotechnology and biomaterials as these relate to elastomers and rubbery materials. The award consists of $3,000, an engraved plaque and $500 for winner travel expenses incurred in attending the award ceremony banquet. The recipient must have made an outstanding contribution to the understanding or utilization of biomaterials, including naturally derived elastomeric polymers and protein-based bioelastomers.

The event was commenced by giving a brief introduction about the importance of World Telecommunication Day by Varuni Joshi. Prof. Pinky Ma’am spoke few enlightening words which was followed by detailed explanation of the quiz rules by anchors. After all the participants had taken the quiz which was taken via Quizziz, an online interactive quizzing platform, it was followed by an exciting wait for the results. Meanwhile, a short funny video was displayed explaining the importance of proper communication.

KAIZEN 2K23 is 8th Annual Technical open house event for final year UG Students. The event was organized on 9th & 10th May 2023. The internship presentation and evaluation was organized on 9th May 2023. The internship projects of B.E. Semester 8th Rubber Technology students have displayed their internship work and gave presentation of technical task which was assigned to them during 12-14 week internship at respective Industries. On the second day, the winners were awarded with certificates in presence of Principal, L.D.C.E, Dr. R.K.Gajjar along with chief guests and faculties for motivation and appreciation of students.
An industrial visit was organized for the engineering for 6th semester students of Chemical Engineering Department, L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad on 11/05/2023. Sterigold Medipack is a renowned name in the field of medical packaging solutions, specializing in sterile barrier systems for medical devices and pharmaceutical products.

The event KAIZEN – 2K23 was organized by Electrical Engineering Department with great efforts and support by all faculty members and students under leadership of Head of the department, Dr.Ketan P Badgujar and Prof J R Iyer. Six parallel sessions were conducted at different venues. Well known experts from the industry came to guide and assess the student’s work. Each jury member took keen interest in discussing each and every internship and project in details.
