Dr. Maulik Bakshi from Apollo Hospital had deliverd the lecture on Thalassemia awareness was arranged for 2nd and 3rd year students on 24/01/2020. Dr. Bakshi is from Rotary club which includes such awareness program all over Gujarat. Dr. Bakshi explained about the importance of Thalassemia and why the thalassemia test is necessary. He also encourages students to get involved in Thalassemia awareness at their localities which will provide knowledge to uneducated people in their localities.
Prof. R.N. Shukla, Associate Professor of Civil Engineering Department at L.D. College of Engineering, Delivered a eminar on Basics of IPR to 2nd and 3rd year students on 23/01/2020. She gave a detailed explanation on Intellectual Rights. She explained why the intellectual right is needed and why it is necessary. As our students are participating in Granted project by using their concept and creating their own patents this seminar will help them in future. She also gave some of the examples by which students can easily understand the need IPR.
Dr. Kinjal Shah , Associate Professor at Nanjing Tech University, China delivered a Lecture on “Implementation of Green Chemistry for sustainable Development “ to 2nd and 3rd year students on 21/1/20. He explained in detail about using green chemistry for sustainable development. He shared one of the research done by him in which he used green chemistry to save plant and water bodies in china. He discuss about present scenario of chemical industries where maximum sustainable process is require and what the role students are supposed to play as Chemical Engineer in the industry.

A Team of Gate Forum under Mr. Mayank Trivedi had delivered and expert talk to 3rd and 4th year students on 3/1/2020. He made aware about the benefits of Gate score. He discussed the top rankers with AIR less than 200 have an opportunity to get direct admissions to the IISc and IITs and NITs many other reputed colleges in MTech. He discuss how GATE score helps in getting jobs in PSUs and how it helps to go into research, you can apply in CSIR Institutes as a junior research fellow and on completion one will be called a scientist. Not only these but Gate score will help in job interview too. He delivered the lecture on the subject”Instrumentation and process control” and made understood the practical application of this subject in industry. He gave some examples of some control systems used in industries like quality control of manufactured products, power system, Nano technology, temperature, pressure and level control system etc. This lecture was very helpful to the students and it will become the stepping stone to their career ahead.
Mr. Sam Mathew, LDCE Alumni 2006, working at Larsen and Turbo as Project engineer gave an inspiring lecture to 3rd year students on 1/1/2020. He shared his successful life journey of being student to Project engineer. That will help our student to set a goal and how to work hard to achieve that goal of being a successful person. He shared about the subject and gave ideas how to choose their academic projects. He also mentioned how the education system has changed and due which students get good opportunities to explore their thoughts.

Dr. Ramesh Subramanian , Director and Associate Professor, of Laurentian University, Canada had delivered a lecture on “Polyacrylamide based cationic graft copolymer flocculants” to 3rd and 4th year students on 24/12/19. He gave a brief idea related to cationic graft copolymer flocculants and also shared the ideas to students for their Project areas. He discussed about the environment of the colleges in Laurentian University and the education system at Laurentian University. These encouraged students to be more active and have small small projects in every semester that they feel to do in any discipline. Dr. Ramesh Subramanian lecture helped students as well as faculties in many ways.
