The Basics of Electrical Engineering Laboratory is designed to introduce first-year students to the fundamental concepts of electrical engineering through practical learning. It enables students to understand the behavior of A.C. and D.C. circuits and develop hands-on skills through the conduction of simple yet essential experiments.

The lab aims to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications and familiarize students with standard electrical components and systems. It includes demonstration setups, experimental kits, and cut-section models for better visualization and comprehension.

• Series RL, RC, and RLC circuit kits


• Kits to verify Superposition, Thevenin, and Norton theorem


• Kits demonstrating series, parallel, star, and delta connections


• Kits for verification of Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (KVL) and Kirchhoff’s Current Law (KCL)


• Setup for measurement of power in single-phase circuits


• Setup for measurement of power in three-phase circuits


• Demonstration model of a transformer


• Cut-section of a D.C. machine and of an induction machine


• Setup for energy measurement for single-phase load
