Prof. Dr. S. C. Rathod evaluated the SWAYAM course for subject “Engineering Drawing and Computer Graphics” translation from English to Gujarati. The work consisted for evaluation of SWAYAM videos of 30 Hours and 54 minutes and suggest necessary changes for language translation.
Mechanical Department has organized one day 4th semester students Industrial Visit on 28th and 29th March, 2023 at Indo-German Tool Room (IGTR) under ministry of MSME department, Vatva, Ahmedabad. It was coordinated by Prof. A. G. Momin, Prof. D. K. Patel, Prof. S. B. Shah and Mr. M.I. Solanki.
Students of B.E. Civil Sem VI named Tarang Patel, Sneh Bhavsar, Preet Vasava and Ritu Barad under the mentorship of Prof.C.D.Patel, were declared winner in “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Hackathon 2022” and awarded 1st Position and prize money of Rs.50,000/- for their project entitled “Pre-monsoon and Post Monsoon Inspection of Bridge.
The Department of Civil Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on the topic “Geo-Synthetics for Development of a Sustainable Infrastructure.” The session was delivered by Shri V. Ravikanth, Assistant Vice President – Business Development, Reliance Corporate Park, Reliance Industries Limited. During the lecture, the resource person highlighted the importance of geo-synthetics in modern civil engineering practices, particularly in enhancing durability, reducing environmental impact, and promoting sustainability in infrastructure projects. The talk also provided insights into recent industry applications, case studies, and future trends in the use of geo-synthetics. A total of 50 students participated enthusiastically, gaining valuable exposure to innovative practices and industry perspectives that will support their academic learning and professional growth.
An Expert Lecture was conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering on the topic “R & B Works and Procedures.” The session was delivered by Shri H. V. Jani, Retired Deputy Executive Engineer, R&B. A total of 37 students actively participated and benefited from the lecture.
Aditya Pal, passed out student of Batch 2022, was awarded Gold Medal by GICEA on 11.2.2023 for his excellent performance in subject Repairs and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures.
Final Year Rubber Technology Department students, Rohan And his team won the 1st Prize in Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Hackathon 2022 for the their project titled “Green Tire tread”. Their work was published in Gujarat Samachar News paper
