STTP’s prime objective is to provide a commonplatform to all engineering researchers, postgraduates, academicians, and field engineers to learnbasics and detailed knowledge of ptimizaion andComputing Techniques to resolve engineering andoptimization problems. It is a common knowledgegaining program to gain and increase the basic of research methodology and quantitative analysis inengineering in which experts will elaborate andexplain the course content in details. Separate hands-on-practice-session on soft computing techniqueswill be demonstrated and performed digitally.
IPR SEMINAR Conducted by Prof.R.N.Shukla and Prof.N.J.Dalal at college level were around 79 participants were present.
The STTP was successfully conducted in which 91 faculties from Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics and Pharmacy Colleges of Gujarat and other states participated. Prof. V. J. Chitaria, Prof. T. H. Vyas and Prof. Z. J. Chovatiya coordinated the STTP under the guidance of Head of Civil Engineering Department Dr. R. B. Khasiya. Excellent feedbacks from the participants were received. The participants also suggested to organise another FDP/Workshop on the Topic.
A one-day webinar on "Nano Technology and its Application" was organized by Chemical Engineering Department, L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad at 7th January-2021. A total of 97 participants including faculties from hemical engineering department and 1st and 2nd year students. The inauguration was held on 07/01/2021at 5:30 PM. The Keynote speaker was Prof. (Dr.) Mamta Chahar, Assistant professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Nalanda College of Engineering Chandi- Nalanda. Dr.Anajli Bishnoi introduced the eminent speaker and also brief her research in area of Nano technology and its application. During the online session expert shared her knowledge and experiences with the participants. he faculty and First year students benefitted immensely from the lectures and experiences shared by the expert. All the participants gave a positive feedback about the workshop and welcomed the initiative.
Mr. Chinmay Tiwari, Master of Science in Nanotechnology. Tecnológico de Monterrey (Monterrey, México) ex-Manager, Reliance Industries Ltd., (SEZ, FCC Unit) delivered an expert lecture on “Coiled-flow invertors (CFI) as candidates for continuous flow photoreactor units” to chemical engineering students on 4th January 2021. He discussed a case study based on the oxidative degradation of fluorescein induced by visible light in the presence of ZnO-APTMS-Au micro/nano-particles in aqueous suspension as a part of International Lecture Series. He provided useful insight in the field of nano particle based photocatalytic reaction. Additionally the scope of higher studies for chemical engineers who want to pursue in abroad uni-versities was also discussed. The lecture benefited the students by not only providing technical knowledge but also for higher studies abroad.
Dr. N M Desai, Alumni LDCE, appointed as a Director of SAC ISRO.
The one-week online short term training program on“Outcome-Based Education and NBA Accreditation Process” is organized with a view to familiarize various government, semi-government and self- financed degree and diploma engineering institutes, and faculty of various engineering disciplines with outcome based education and NBA Accreditation process. The STTP will help them to implement outcome based education and also to prepare for NBA accreditation. The Sessions will be conducted by eminent professors from LDCE, other government engineering colleges, IT-NU and faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department and Applied Mechanics Department of the institute covering all important aspects. The STTP is designed as a workshop so that outcome of it is demonstrated and assessed. The STTP is approved by DTE, Gujarat State and it is available in TNA portal.
