IPR SEMINAR Conducted by Prof.R.N.Shukla and Prof.N.J.Dalal at college level were around 79 participants were present.
The STTP was successfully conducted in which 91 faculties from Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics and Pharmacy Colleges of Gujarat and other states participated. Prof. V. J. Chitaria, Prof. T. H. Vyas and Prof. Z. J. Chovatiya coordinated the STTP under the guidance of Head of Civil Engineering Department Dr. R. B. Khasiya. Excellent feedbacks from the participants were received. The participants also suggested to organise another FDP/Workshop on the Topic.
A one-day webinar on "Nano Technology and its Application" was organized by Chemical Engineering Department, L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad at 7th January-2021. A total of 97 participants including faculties from hemical engineering department and 1st and 2nd year students. The inauguration was held on 07/01/2021at 5:30 PM. The Keynote speaker was Prof. (Dr.) Mamta Chahar, Assistant professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Nalanda College of Engineering Chandi- Nalanda. Dr.Anajli Bishnoi introduced the eminent speaker and also brief her research in area of Nano technology and its application. During the online session expert shared her knowledge and experiences with the participants. he faculty and First year students benefitted immensely from the lectures and experiences shared by the expert. All the participants gave a positive feedback about the workshop and welcomed the initiative.
Mr. Chinmay Tiwari, Master of Science in Nanotechnology. Tecnológico de Monterrey (Monterrey, México) ex-Manager, Reliance Industries Ltd., (SEZ, FCC Unit) delivered an expert lecture on “Coiled-flow invertors (CFI) as candidates for continuous flow photoreactor units” to chemical engineering students on 4th January 2021. He discussed a case study based on the oxidative degradation of fluorescein induced by visible light in the presence of ZnO-APTMS-Au micro/nano-particles in aqueous suspension as a part of International Lecture Series. He provided useful insight in the field of nano particle based photocatalytic reaction. Additionally the scope of higher studies for chemical engineers who want to pursue in abroad uni-versities was also discussed. The lecture benefited the students by not only providing technical knowledge but also for higher studies abroad.

The one-week online short term training program on“Outcome-Based Education and NBA Accreditation Process” is organized with a view to familiarize various government, semi-government and self- financed degree and diploma engineering institutes,and faculty of various engineering disciplines with outcome based education and NBA Accreditation process. The STTP will help them to implement outcome based education and also to prepare for NBA accreditation. The Sessions will be conducted by eminent professors from LDCE, other government engineering colleges, IT-NU and faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department and Applied Mechanics Department of the institute covering all important aspects. The STTP is designed as a workshop so that outcome of it is demonstrated and assessed. The STTP is approved by DTE, Gujarat State and it is available in TNA portal.

The department of Applied Mechanics Department of L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad (Under Directorate of Technical Education, Education Department, GoG) successfully organized a National level online FDP on “Earthquake Safe Design and Construction Practice” from (01/12/2020 to 05/12/2020) under the aegis of AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. The inauguration of the esteemed Online FDP was conducted in the august presence of DR C V R Murty, Institute Chair Professor, IIT, Madras as the Chief Guest & Dr B. S. Munjal, Scientist (Engineer-G), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as Guest of Honour. The complete FDP was well coordinated by Major Dr.C.S.Sanghvi, Professor & Head Applied Mechanics Dept. Noted Speakers from esteemed Academic Institutes such as National Forensic Science University, IIT Gandhinagar & British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada were pitched in for the expert talk. Insightful lectures were also delivered by notable Experts from various bodies of GoG such as Road & Building department, Office of RERA. Expert from technology based organization such as National Centre for Peoples’ Action in Disaster Preparedness (NCPDP) and People in Centre had also delivered talk in this FDP. The valedictory function of the FDP was chaired by Shri M.N.Patel (Ex. Principal of LDCE, Ex. Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University). The following faculty members Prof.P.J.Mehta, Prof. A.J.Shah, Prof. A.G.Hansora, Prof. K.A.Parmar, Prof. C.D.Patel, Prof. B.R.Patel, Prof.S.R.SSingh were felicitated with “Certificate of Appreciation” for having worked relentlessly for the successful organization of the FDP.
