Dr Charulata Dube, (from CUG-Gandhinagar), has delivered an online lecture on “Basics of Surface Characterization” on 24th October 2024. Around 60 students of the 3rd semester were present in the online session. Overall coordination was done by Dr Anjali Bishnoi and Dr Sandip Bhatt.
On 18th October 2024, an expert lecture was organized at L.D. College of Engineering for the 3rd semester students of the Chemical Engineering Department. The topic of the lecture was "Basics and Case Studies of Pumps," delivered by Mr. Rahul Goel, an accomplished Lead Process Engineer from Mott MacDonald, India with extensive industry experience in fluid mechanics and pump systems. The Department of Chemical Engineering at L.D. College of Engineering organized an insightful expert lecture on "Research Trends in the Field of Chemical Engineering." The session, aimed at 7th semester undergraduate students and 1st and 3rd semester postgraduate students, provided a platform to explore current and future research avenues in the chemical engineering domain. Dr. Dutta welcomed Dr. Padhiyar at the outset and Dr. Patel introduced Dr. Padhiyar to the audience by briefly describing his accomplishments.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information technology, Government of India organized an event named “SEMICON INDIA 2024” at India Exposition Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, India with an aim to showcase India as the global hub for Semiconductor Design, Manufacturing and Technology Development. 8 students from B.E. Sem-7 from Chemical Engineering Department along with 1 faculty Dr Anjali Bishnoi visited the exhibition during 11-13 September 2024.
An Expert Lecture on “Process Intensification of Chemical Processing applications using cavitation reactors” was organized by IIChE Student Chapter Chemical Engineering Department – LDCE, in association with IIChE, ARC as a part of Shri Shirish Parikh Memorial Lecture sponsored by Macropolymers Pvt. Ltd.
A Faculty Training Program (FDP) on “Computational Approaches for Engineering” was organized by Chemical Engineering Department, L. D. College Of Engineering, Ahmedabad during 5th – 9th February, 2024 in collaboration with NITTTR Gujarat Extension Center, Ahmedabad. A total of 26 participants including faculties from various degree and diploma engineering colleges from all over Gujarat attended the FDP.
A Short Term Training Program (STTP) on “Sustainable Approaches in Engineering” was organized by Chemical Engineering Department, L. D. College Of Engineering, Ahmedabad during 16th – 20th January, 2024 in collaboration with NITTTR Gujarat Extension Center, Ahmedabad. A total of 36 participants including faculties from various degree and diploma engineering colleges from all over Gujarat attended the STTP.
