The workshop on “Real time applications of Arduino” began with offering prayer. Thereafter, welcome speech was addressed by Prof. (Dr.) J. R. Iyer,. In addition, the importance of this training and significance to learn Arduino was discussed by Prof. F.A. Macwan and Prof. H.N. Raval. The speakers for the workshop were, Abhay Gosai, Shwetal Shyara, Om Bhatt, students of semester-6, EED, LDCE. Initially, arduino architecture including pin-diagram was discussed by speakers. Moreover, they also discussed the brief about the sensor they were going to demonstrate such as relay switch module, IR sensor module, tilt switch module, and Ultra Sonic sensor module.
Sandeep Anand received the B.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He had brief stints at Industry, working previously with Emerson Network Power, Mumbai, and Cosmic Circuits Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, India. From 2013 to 2019, he was an Assistant Professor with the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T), Kanpur, India, where he became an Associate Professor in 2020. He is currently an Associate Professor with I.I.T Bombay, India. He has received “Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award" by The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) in 2019 & "Young Engineer Award" by Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) in 2017. His research interests include Electric Vehicles Power Train including EV Chargers, Reliability of Power Electronic Circuits, Wide bandgap devices (GaN, SiC) based Power Converters and Circuits for Interfacing Alternate Sources of Energy. In the area of electric vehicles, he is supporting various MSME industries in terms of R&D support for their power drive train requirements and also by running skill development courses in this emerging area. In this project expo, all students have participated with high enthusiasm. The objective of the event was to encourage students to learn different skills like hard wiring, tools handling, trouble shouting of electrical wiring , team building, project planning and costing.
In this brief talk, the audience comprised children from standard 5 upto college undergraduates, along with parents and faculty members from various departments at LDCE, Ahmedabad. Dr. Ketan Badgujar shared and discussed different methods for effective use of brain, various memory techniques, and right attributes of parenting. The talk was enthusiastically received and attended by a wide ranging audience in terms of age as well as level education.
As we know that documentation skill is required at every stage of professional carrier nowadays so, we are planning to conduct 6 sessions over 2-days workshop for 1st year Electrical Engineering students for soft-skill development which will mostly cover word processor related task and spreadsheet related tasks.
