An Industry-Academia Collaboration Meet- Sahyog-2022, was organized in the Chanakya Hall of Electrical Department on 17th September 2022, between 3 -5 pm. The motive behind the meeting was to enhance the liaison between Industry and Academia. The meeting aimed at bilateral working between the Industry and Electrical Department, LDCE so that it could be a win-win situation for both. The meeting was attended by the Principal of the institute - Dr. Rajul Gajjar, invited industry personnel, faculty and staff of the Electrical Department, and student representatives. 18 industry personnel were present in the meeting.
‘E-waste Recycling’ - A brief overview about the E-waste generation based on global level as well as based on our country. E-waste negatively affects the human life and nature. E-waste is not actually the waste, it contains very useful materials, which we can recover and reuse.
In order to provide practical exposure and updates in power transformer manufacturing technology, Electrical Engineering Department, L.D. College of Engineering had organized a one-day academic tour/ industrial visit to Powerlite Electricals Pvt. Ltd for pre-final year students. In order to improve reliability, efficiency, reactive power management, and performance of the transmission line, different types of configurations are used such as shunt rector connected transmission line, Series capacitor connected transmission line, and combination of shunt reactor-series capacitor transmission line. Further, for successful implementation of above-mentioned configurations has been carried out using Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices. In order to spread awareness about “ FACTs devices used in Power system”, IEI students’ chapter, Department of Electrical Engineering of L. D. College of Engineering has organized an expert session from Field expert for undergraduate students on April 1st, 2022. The expert, Dr. Kalyan K. Sen is the Co-Founder/Chief Technology Officer of Sen Engineering Solutions, Inc. USA. Prior to this role, he worked for 33 years in academia and industry. He was a key member of the FACTS development team at Westinghouse Science & Technology Center.
Electrical Engineering Department, L D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad Inauguration of SPE (Society of Power Engineers) Students’ Chapter, EED,LDCE and expert talk on “Awareness of Energy Audit” was delivered by Er. Nikhil Shah, Secretary SPE, Ahmedabad. This event was held on March 22nd 2022. More than 70 students of under graduate and post graduate studies and faculty members have participated actively in this inaugural ceremony and attend expert talk.
Company has installed over 100+ heating equipment all over India ranging from 10kw to 1000kw & 0.5kHz to 200kHz. This equipment covers wide application like case and surface hardening to through heating annealing to stress relieving.

In this era, engineers around the globe are trying to improve the performance and efficiency of many electro-mechanical systems. The performance and efficiency of the system can be improve by using automation using micro controllers which interfaces with its peripherals (sensors) and performed its function accurately. In order to understand the basic concept of automation, on 8/3/2022, our department has organized one-day workshop on “ A,B,C,D, about Arduino” under the aegis of IEI Students’ chapter, Department of Electrical engineering, L.D.C.E., Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
