An expert lecture on "Power Quality Issues and Mitigation Techniques" was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Naimesh Zaveri, Professor and Head, Elect Dept, C K Pithawala Engg College, Surat. The lecture was specially arranged for Post Graduate students. This expert talk helped the students to explore the research area in power quality issues in India.
Mock interviews of UG Final year students were taken by senior faculty members during working Saturdays of the months of August and September. These mock interviews were useful to enhance technical knowledge and built confidence in all present students which reflected in campus placement interviews.
As per the directives of Education Department and the office of The Commissionerate of Technical Education, Department of Electrical Engineering has celebrated 'Independence - 70'. Prof. M R Vasavada and Prof. Ms. F H Shah has co-ordinated the events.

Department of Electrical Engineering arranged industrial visit at 400kV VADAVI SUB STATION near Ahemdabad to enhance practical knowledge of 7th semester students. Prof J.B.Puajara, Prof. N.D.Rabara, Prof. M R Vasavada and Prof. Ms. Z B Parekh provided technical guidance during this visit.
