Glimpses of One week F.D.P. on "Reliability Analysis & Optimization of Modern Power System" organized jointly by Electrical Engineering Department, LDCE and NITTTR, Bhopal Extension Center, RCTI, Ahmedabad. 23 faculties from Engineering colleges, Polytechnic across Gujarat state attended the FDP. Prof. Dr. K. Manickavasagam, Professor, NITTTR Bhopal, Dr. V. R. Patel, Prof. H N Raval and Dr. Mihir Vasavada successfully coordinated the FDP.
The Electrical Engineering Department of L. D. College of Engineering (LDCE), Ahmedabad, in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, organized a two-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Emerging Trends & Practices in Optimization and Sustainable Technology” during 2nd to 13th June 2025 at the Gujarat Extension Centre, NITTTRB, Ahmedabad. The FDP was attended by 25 faculty members from various engineering colleges and polytechnics across Gujarat.
The objective of the event was to encourage students to learn different skills like hard wiring, tools handling, trouble shooting of electrical wiring, team building, project planning and costing, Presentation skill.
On February 21, 2025, 50 students from the 6th and 4th semesters, accompanied by Prof. K.A. Bhatt and Prof. H.N. Raval, visited Johnson Cables Unit 2, Chhatral GIDC, Gujarat, as part of an industrial visit organized by the BIS Club. The objective of the visit was to gain insights into the manufacturing, testing, and certification of electrical cables.
The training program on 'PLC Programming' was organized under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (C.S.S) RUSA 1.0. It was hosted at Indo German Tool Room (IGTR), GIDC Vatva, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with the Electrical Department of L.D. College of Engineering. The 96-hour course aimed at equipping students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in industrial automation using PLCs
Proud moment for EED, LDCE that one of the students' team, has won won 1st runners 'up prize of worth 15000/- in CVM University Hackathon 3.0 which was held at A.D Patel Institute of Technology, V.V.
