TechTussle 2025 was a one-day intra-college technical debate competition organized by the IETE Club of LDCE. The event aimed to foster technical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills among students. Participants debated compelling topics, encouraging logical reasoning and confident public speaking. Participation 10 teams from various departments participated, totaling 30+ students. The event followed a knockout-style format with 11 matches, cheered on by an audience of 100+ students. Faculty members and IETE mentors served as judges, ensuring fair evaluation. Debate Topics 1. Privacy is impossible in the era of smart devices. 2. Artificial Intelligence Will Replace Engineers in the Next 20 Years. 3. Arduino is Better Than Raspberry Pi for Beginners. 4. Online Courses Are More Effective Than Traditional Classroom Teaching for Technical Skills. 5. India Should Invest More in Semiconductor Manufacturing Than in Defense Technology. 6. Open-Source Software and Hardware Should Be Promoted More Than Proprietary Systems in Education. 7. Smartphones Are More Harmful Than Helpful for Engineering Students. 8. The Internet of Things (IoT) Is a Security Threat More Than a Technological Advancement. 9. Simulation Software Should Replace Physical Labs in the First Year of Electronics Courses. 10. Technology Is Making Us Less Creative. 11. Electric Vehicles Are the Only Future for Transportation.
A webinar was conducted by Mathworks for students of chemical engineering on 9th and 10th July, 2025 for enhancing the awareness of MATLAB and Simulink applications in chemical and food processing engineering. Both BE and ME students of chemical engineering department attended the online sessions.
