Kaizen-2020-Computer Engineering Department Report
Due to Covid 19, this time kaizen event was organized online on the zoom application. The kaizen 2k20 event was organized by Rubber Technology Department of the institute with great enthusiasm and support by all faculty members and students. The event was scheduled for two days 6th and 7th April 2020. Total 6 UG group projects of 29 students were presented their projects on zoom application. On the 6th April 3 teams have presented their projects and poster on the zoom application and the rest of the team have presented their projects and poster on the next day. Projects prepared by all the students are well prepared, innovative and technically sound. Some of them are quite helpful to the society and industry. The students were happy to show case their work to all the facilities and judges. The environment had been very vibrant on both the days. The facilities and judges were delighted to see the overwhelming response of the students. Special appreciation is due to the faculty members who whole heartedly guided the projects and participating the events.
The online Kaizen 2020 for Chemical Engineering Department was conducted with 4 panels of faculties reviewing all the teams of final year IDP/UDP projects on dated 3rd April, 2020 through Zoom meeting app. Total 13 faculty members had reviewed 15 teams (total 71 students).
Students of B.E.Sem (VIIIth) Civil, Maharshi Raval, Meshwa Shah & Niyati Shah secured 1st Runner up prize and Trophy under the mentorship of Prof.Poonam I. Modi, in the “Sparkling Star” contest organized by Ultra-tech Pvt. Ltd on 6th March’20. 2 out of 34 teams who had participated from all over Ahmedabad were from our department who were shortlisted for the finale round. One of these teams made it to the 1st Runner Up position.
