Plastic Technology Department arranged an Orientation program on 27/6/2024 for the newly admitted students. The Alumni who address the students was Mr. Chetan Shah, Founder – Drishti Polytech and Rishma Agencies.
Plastic Technology Department, L.D.College of Engineering along with IPI Student Chapter, arranged an expert lecture on “Hollow article-Processing and Markets”. The speaker was Shri Prashant Trivedi who is currently associated with Navratan Specialty Chemicals LLP and Uniworth Enterprises LLP (Meghmani group Company) as a CEO-PVC Business. He was the Chairman of IPI Ahmedabad Chapter and National Chairman-Environment & Ecology Committee. Students of 4 th and 6 th semester were benefitted through this lecture. The speaker covered the topics of Hollow plastic product manufacturing through Blow and Rotational molding techniques. He also gave knowledge of the processing behavior of different plastic materials used in Blow and Rotational molding. It was a great learning experience for both students and staff of Plastic Technology as the speaker has a 40 years Industry experience and is a pioneer in the manufacture of Roto moulded articles at M/s. Sintex Industries Ltd; Kalol. He is the one amongst the 5 people who brought this technology to India.
Prof. Hetal Shah & Prof. Stuti Shah attended an Awareness program on "Plastic Waste Management" at CIPET during 15th International Conference on Advancements in Polymeric Materials, along with students of 4th and 6th semester on the 15th March 2024
