Prof. Hetal Shah & Prof. Stuti Shah attended "Fine Organic Endowment Lecture & D.M.Trivedi Memorial Lecture" organized by Indian Plastic Institute-Ahmedabad Chapter.
Plastic Technology Department had arranged and expert lecture on the topic "Enhancing Business Growth through CRM" (Customer Relationship Management). The speaker was Ms. Neeta Dhaka, Customer Relationship Management Head at Prasad Group of Companies. Students gained valuable insights into building and maintaining strong customer relationships for business growth. The session covered key strategies and their practical application in today's market.
Plastic Technology Department along with IPI-Ahmedabad Student Chapter organized a technical Expert lecture on the topic "Screw & Barrels , an important & heart of plastics processing". The speaker was Mr. Mrunal Sanghvi , Founder, InjEx Machines. Students of Semester 3,5 & 7 participated which provided a lot of latest learning.
The work of the winning team of Plastic Technology Department comprising of Kirtan Shirke, Himanshee Maurya, Riyaz Khalifa, Martin Maisuriya and Rakesh Patil and guided by Prof. Hetal Shah was published in a leading newspaper Gujarat Samachar Plus on 25th June 2025.
Prof. Stuti Shah attended Online Meeting along with First Year Newly admitted students on first day of Student Induction Program. The meeting was addressed by Additional Chief Secretary Madam and Commissioner Sir on the first day of the Student Induction Program
Prof. Hetal Shah attended One Day Workshop on AI@ Work “Building AI Awareness & Readiness among Staff”
Orientation Program for the newly admitted UG Plastic Technology 2025 students was arranged on 19th June 2025. The faculties and student coordinators worked for the successful completion of the program. They gave awareness about the department and its activities to the newly admitted students.
Plastic Technology Department along with SSIP Cell, LDCE arranged a HACKATHON on World Environment Day 5th June 2025. The theme of the Hackathon was to encourage innovative, technology driven solutions and develop sustainable alternatives to reduce and reuse waste for a better environment. Total 11 teams had participated out of which 3 teams were declared winners. A team of 5 students of Plastic Technology Department, Kirtan Shirke, Himanshee Maurya, Riyaz Khalifa, Martin Maisuriya and Rakesh Patil guided by Prof. Hetal Shah secured the 2nd position at the Hackathon event on World Environment Day for their project titled “Ash to Ink”.
Prof. Bharati Basantani worked as a Jury member during the Hackathon event on World Environment Day on 5th June 2025.
Faculties of Plastic technology Department had guided different teams for participating in Hackathon on World Environment Day. Prof. Kintu P. Jain had guided a team on the topic “Plastic Waste Recycling”, Prof. Hetal Shah had guided a team on the topic “Ash to Ink” and Prof. Stuti Shah had a team on the topic “Reclaimers” and Prof. Stuti Shah and Hetal Sha had a team on the topic “Plantrify”
