The Department of Chemical Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on “An Overview of Plant Design and Project Economics” on 26th August 2025 for 5th semester students. The session was delivered by Shri M. N. Vyas (Ex-IPCL), an eminent professional with extensive industrial experience in process plant design and techno-economic evaluation.
Prof. Bhatt delivered an expert talk on "Definition, concept, models, types of communication". The same lecture is telecast on youtube live also.
An expert lecture on “Emotional Intelligence and Spirituality” was organized by Chemical Engineering Department for the students of all the disciplines of L.D.C.E. Expert, Mr. Rajesh Jain-esteemed MD of Epitude Consultants, London, conducted the lecture on 21/08/2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Around 180 UG students who gained invaluable insights from his vast global experience. Following is the glimpses of the event.

Mathematics Challenge 2025 competition will be organized by the Science and Humanities department. The competition is open to all undergraduate Engineering students and to all B.Sc. students from the state of Gujarat. The purpose is to motivate and encourage students for strengthening their mathematics knowledge and also to prepare them for a healthy competition. The event is promoted and sponsored by Gujarat Ganit Mandal and the L. D. College of Engineering. The competition is planned as a rigorous activity in mathematics, so the format of the competition involved three different rounds: Preliminary round Problem Solving Round Quiz Round

Students Paridhi Karmakar, Tanay Chaturvedi and Nandini Sharma won Dewang Mehta IT Awards 2025 and received prize money Rs. 1 Lac for their project titled "AI Powered Drone for Precision Monitoring". They have received SSIP grant for this project and working under the guidance of Prof. Madhusmita Sahoo and Prof. Kishor Bamniya. Hackathon coordinator Prof. Mihir Vasavada mentored them for documentation part required for the Dewang Mehta IT Awards 2025. Congratulations to the students and mentors. Laboratory assistant Mr. Atul Nakrani provided necessary technical help in terms of electronics components, equipment and consumables.
