Plastic Technology student of 2nd semester Ananya Pandey was awarded the best “SANSKRUTIK SPEAKER” of LDCE 2025 during the Elocution competition arranged by NSS and Science & Humanities Department LDCE on 1-3-2025
Plastic Technology students of 6th semester had successfully completed their 15 days training at CIPET (Vatva) under RUSA, titled “Mold flow analysis of injection molding machine” from 27-1-2025 to 7-2-2025.
Plastic Technology students of 4th & 6th semester along with Prof. Hetal Shah visited Astral Pipes Ltd., Santej, on 5-2-2025 under BIS club.
• Prof. Bharati Basantani was invited to visit Lumax industries at Sanand. She visited the company on 10-1-2025 and had discussion with the HR team regarding industrial visit, internship and placement for the students
• The Plastic Technology Department had 2 very senior Alumini who visited the Department during Global Alumni Convention on 4th January 2025 at LDCE. DR. Mamta Saiyad: Associate Professor Chemical Engineering, Nirma Institute of Technology, who has made a mark in development of light weight astronaut suits along with NASA. • And another Alumni of 2006 batch, Ms. Colina Dutta , who ventured into Medicine field after B.E. Plastic Technology by doing her Phd at Michigan State University, USA. She is currently developing Oncological drugs at a well-known Pharmaceutical company in Mumbai. • Both the Alumini shared their journey with the students and inspired them.
Plastic technology Department signed an MOU with Prutha Packaging Pvt. Ltd. Activities like Industrial visit, Internship, Expert lecture, Placement etc. will be carried on mutually between Prutha Packaging and Plastic Technology Department.
Plastic Technology Department arranged Alumni meet SAHYOG 2024 on 19th October 2024. Mr. Digant Patel, Owner Prutha Packaging Ltd., Mr. Ashish Prajapati from Milacron Industries Ltd., Mr. Nitin Pandya from Prasad group of companies and Mr. Nachiket Joshi of Bhavi Electronics attended the meet. They gave their valuable suggestions regarding future scope in the field of Plastic Technology.
